2020 Drum Nation Summer Camp (Ages 7 - 10) July 27 - 31, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Location: Recital Hall (U of L Main Campus) Campers will learn Japanese Taiko, Caribbean steel pans, African drums, and many others! They’ll travel around the world without leaving the city! Make some noise with percussion masters, Adam Mason and Joe Porter.
2020 Drum Nation Summer Camp (Ages 11-17) July 27 - 31, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Location: Recital Hall (U of L Main Campus) From the power of Japanese Taiko, the tropical melodies of Caribbean steel pans, and the interlocking grooves of African drums, you’ll travel around the world without leaving the city! Beginner and experienced drummers are welcome. Make some noise with the masters, Adam Mason and Joe Porter.
Session 1: July 13 - 17, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Located at Casa - 230 8 St S) Session 2: August 10 - 14, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Located at Casa - 230 8 St S) No musical experience is needed for this fun, musical exploration summer camp. Campers will explore percussion, musical theatre, group songs and dances, the ukulele and lots of games set to music. Explore all types of music and instruments in this camp, have lots of fun, and meet new friends! Each child should have their own ukulele, but if they don’t already, we will place a group order at a discounted rate, and parents can purchase it from us on the first day (for around $20-30). The week will end with a showcase to share with parents some of what they have learned!
